Producer: Central Concert Sarl. Synopsis: Carmina Burana, Carl Orff. Carmina Burana is undoubtedly the most celebrated work of the German composer Carl Orff, and is inspired by a collection of about 300 songs written by clerics and vagabond students of the 12th and 13th centuries, who led a dissolute life, outside the rules. Thus, in 1937 he composed a scenic cantata that bears the same name as the literary original and whose best-known fragment is O Fortuna. The poems, written mostly in Latin, include love songs, tavern songs, satires, student songs..., but all constitute a song to love and carnal pleasures, a position that clashes frontally with the conception traditionally attributed to the medieval period. Requiem - Mozart. The fact that it constitutes the only mass for the dead of his extensive work, being his only unfinished opus (due to his death) and the mysterious circumstances surrounding its commission and composition, built the legend and fascination that Mozart's Requiem continues to exert today.
