The Museum of Portuguese Decorative Arts of FRESS organizes, between September 16 and October 28, a series of conferences entitled Habitar, Representar, Conviver (Inhabit, Represent, Coexist), Practices of the aristocracy in the 18th century. Over five sessions, different dimensions of 18th-century aristocratic life will be addressed, in a journey that crosses history, art, culture, medicine, sociability and heritage. The conferences will allow an understanding of how the ways of inhabiting, the rituals of representation and the practices of coexistence reflected social, aesthetic and cultural values that profoundly marked Portuguese society of the time.
