Synopsis 136 years later, the magic of Christmas continues to happen on the same stage. The Christmas Circus returns to the Coliseu dos Recreios to keep Lisbon's oldest holiday tradition alive: bringing whole families together around a show that spans generations and stays in everyone's memory, from the youngest to the oldest. Under the dome that has seen more than a century of artists pass through, acrobats, tightrope walkers, jugglers and clowns arrive from all over the world with a brand-new programme designed to surprise first-timers and move those who grew up watching the circus in this very place. With aerial acts, feats of strength and skill, humour for all ages and moments of pure fantasy, the Christmas Circus is more than a show: it is where grandparents, parents and children share the same wonder and the same laughter. Some traditions are renewed every year. This is one of them. Book your seat now and come experience Christmas where it has always happened. More information at www.circocoliseu.com
