Cerâmicas do Mundo, Cabo Verde is a cultural and artistic exchange project that explores the tradition of pottery. Following the first edition, Cerâmicas do Mundo, Índia; this new edition includes artistic residencies, an activity open to the public, a documentary and an exhibition. In the Cape Verdean tradition, pottery and cloth weaving are fundamental links in the imagination of shelter, of the home that welcomes those who have left and dream of returning. The pot, the moringo, the binde and the pano di terra are at the center of the collective memory of the place where one returns or will return one day. The toy reproduces the archetype of the miniature house that transmits from childhood the umbilical connection to my place in the world. This project is produced by Oficinas do Convento with curators
