Synopsis The Kingdom II Original title: Riget II Lars von Trier, Morten Arnfred Cast: Ernst-Hugo Järegård, Kirsten Rolffes, Ghita Nørby, Søren Pilmark Synopsis Built on old chemical bleaching tanks, Denmark's most advanced hospital becomes the stage for inexplicable events. Ghosts, doctors and patients inhabit a daily life where the transcendent seeps in and reason begins to waver. With The Kingdom, Lars von Trier transforms the medical drama into a cult work of horror and black humor, in which science and the supernatural blend together.
