Brief Introduction DIEGO EL CIGALA Diego El Cigala returns to the roots of flamenco. For the first time in two decades, the Madrid-born singer embarks on a world tour dedicated to the genre that marked the beginning of his career, also presenting a new album. One of the Spanish voices with the greatest international reach, distinguished with 5 Latin GRAMMYs, El Cigala has built a singular career between the two shores of the Atlantic. After the historic encounter with Bebo Valdés, in Lágrimas Negras, he explored universes such as bolero, tango, salsa, son and Mexican music, without ever losing the flamenco identity that lies at the origin of his music. Now, he returns to the starting point with all the experience accumulated along the way. Guitar, cajón, dance and palmas join his voice, accompanied by piano and double bass, in a night of purity, improvisation and intensity. From fandangos and bulerías to bolero and son, flamenco meets again the musics Diego El Cigala fell in love with throughout a life without borders.
