The first edition of the MURMUR + ArtWorks project at MACAM presents 'Silvo', a new installation by Inês Mendes Leal curated by Carolina Quintela, which relates sound and landscape in the Grande Hall of the museum's New Wing.
MACAM, the Museum of Contemporary Art Armando Martins, and ArtWorks have recently established a three-year partnership to create MURMUR + ArtWorks, a project integrated into MACAM's exhibition programme that aims to give visibility to artists through the creation of unprecedented installations designed specifically for the walls of the Grande Hall of the museum's New Wing. The first edition of MURMUR + ArtWorks opens on 2 October at 18h with Silvo, an unprecedented installation by artist Inês Mendes Leal (1997), curated by Carolina Quintela. Designed specifically for the Grande Hall of MACAM's New Wing, the installation establishes a relationship between sound and landscape, revealing the space as living matter traversed by signals and resonances. Wednesday to Monday, from 10h to 20h. Technical sheet: Curated by Carolina Quintela.
