BETWEEN THE STAGE, THE NEWS AND THE LAW When a story takes on a life of its own. An anonymous message. A shared video. A joke inspired by a real case. A publication taken out of context. In the digital age, a story can emerge in different ways and quickly gain new interpretations. What starts as a news item can become a topic of debate, humorous content or a source of controversy. But where does freedom of expression end and the responsibility of those who communicate begin? On November 12, CCA brings together a journalist, a comedian and two lawyers for a conversation about the relationship between information, humor and the Law, exploring issues such as freedom of expression, public interest, the right to honor and responsibility for disseminating content, in a context where information circulates faster and faster and not always with its original context. In conversation: Marta Ferreira, Journalist, SIC Notícias Tiago Almeida, Comedian and Director Inês de Oliveira Silva, Coordinating Associate, Civil Litigation, CCA Law Firm Maria Madalena de Azeredo Perdigão, Coordinating Associate, Criminal Litigation, CCA Law Firm 📅 November 12, 2026 📍 CCA Law Firm, Lisbon Agenda 5:30 PM | Registration and welcome coffee 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Conference 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM | Q&A 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Networking cocktail Participation is free, subject to prior registration, until November 10.
