Concert marking 50 years of Luís Represas's career, on 10 April 2027 at the Coliseu dos Recreios, revisiting songs from his solo work and his time with Trovante.

Producer Flávio Miguel Patacas Serpa Unipessoal Lda Synopsis The concerts marking 50 years of Luís Represas's career were scheduled, and they will indeed take place. On April 10, 2027, at the Coliseu dos Recreios, drawing on songs under his own name and those he shared with Trovante. Because, as understood by friends, those close to him, accomplices of his journey or parts of it, partners, and those who discovered in Luís Represas a source of inspiration, these shows do not lose meaning or scope; on the contrary: the musical map remains the same, the visits will be guided by those who are determined to take up the testimony and thus respect the purpose of these nights in two magical and remarkable venues. In this way, a wish and a principle repeated many times in recent weeks are fulfilled: not to let fall silent, not to allow a singular body of work that changed and shaped the paths of Portuguese Music to be consigned to oblivion. And that signal will be given on stage, as Luís Represas would have liked. There are guarantees that can already be put forward. Notably, the production of these evenings is in the hands of Flávio Serpa, and the musical direction will be entrusted to Manuel Faria, present and active in Trovante and in Represas's solo career, with the support of Carlos Garcia, central in the singer's most recent times, and Miguel Nuñez, the Cuban pianist who also walked side by side with Luís on several occasions. As for the musicians (it is already known that the members of Trovante will not miss the call), as well as the band that currently played with Represas and the voices called to this unique challenge. The cast will be revealed soon, because it needs to maintain the criterion of integrity and the standard of excellence that Luís Represas always embodied. Everyone will certainly be more committed to doing justice and adding brilliance to the songs that have accompanied us all for 50 years, much more than to embodying "homages" or "tributes", concepts and expressions that Luís Represas himself was not very fond of. Here, it is about music, the one raised and shown by a man, or around him. Agendas remain open and alert for when the next April arrives. Without prejudice to the possibility that among the many who already had tickets purchased before July 22, and/or those who bought them after that date, some may choose possible returns and refunds, naturally guaranteed until September 5, 2026. But above all, given the availability, interest, and votes of confidence that have been received from many people, from Luís Represas's acquaintances to his faithful anonymous attendees, that does not seem to be a trend.
