Exhibition of the Arte Jovem Millennium BCP Foundation Award, 11th edition of the National Competition aimed at recent graduates and final-year students of visual arts courses. Curated by Katherine Sirois, with the selection carried out by a jury made up of Ana Anacleto (curator), Madalena Reis (cultural manager) and Pedro Valdez Cardoso. The Arte Jovem award-competition, created in 2016 by Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, arose from the need to establish a platform that allows recent graduates and the general public to reflect on the processes and challenges that, today, are posed by building an artistic career. At each edition of the Arte Jovem award, a jury reviews and analyses the portfolios submitted for application, with the aim of selecting emerging young authors to take part in a group exhibition, to be held at the Galeria do Pavilhão 31, at the Hospital Júlio de Matos.
