Cristina Clara presents, at Teatro São Luiz, for the first time live, her new album, made of stories told and sung, gathered over the last few years between travels, encounters, memories and songs. Fado, choro, morna, batuku, root song and popular rhythms from Portugal, Brazil and Cape Verde appear here not as closed genres, but as lived experiences, influences and tools for telling stories. These are sounds that the artist listens to and incorporates into her creation, different ways of speaking of belonging, desire, distance, waiting, joy, loss and transformation. In this concert, each song opens a landscape. Some are born from original writing, others from revisited traditional repertoires; all arrive on stage with the word at the centre and with the desire to bring those who sing closer to those who listen.
