Bli

Saturday 12 December – Sunday 20 December

Teatro Taborda, Lisbon

A cardboard box, a sound and a word with no apparent meaning: Bli. It is from this inaugural game that Carlos J. Pessoa builds a show of lightning scenes, where language is invented, transformed and opens doors to unexpected worlds. Performed by Carolina Cunha e Costa and Duarte Romão, BLI traverses comic, lyrical and absurd situations, following two characters caught in the vertigo of contemporary haste. Among words that multiply, fragile empires and boxes that hide other boxes, the play contrasts the speed of everyday life with the slow time of play, listening and discovery. Intended for children and young people, but open to all ages, the show invites the audience to take part in a theatre made of body, sound and paper, where nonsense gives way to tenderness and every word can begin again. A reflection on attention, waiting and the richness of the world around us. Technical sheet: Teatro da Garagem. Carlos J. Pessoa, text and direction.
