The exhibition is born of an initiative by Hello, Kristof itself, which opens its doors to Lisbon's art circuit and takes on a new role in supporting the community and the city's artists. The show brings together 10 to 15 paintings made with natural pigments that the artist extracts from natural ingredients: coffee, black tea, matcha, hibiscus, beetroot and many others. In addition to this technique, the artist also uses acrylic fluid and pastels to complement some of the works. Matéria Viva (Living Matter), however, is a series focused on the potential and performance of natural pigments, where color itself is alive and matter is an active collaborator. Castro's paintings portray nature from the micro to the macro: the forms that repeat themselves at every scale, from galaxies to riverbeds and to cities seen from above.
