Synopsis / Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas / in 6 Recitals by Artur Pizarro / A ÉGIDE presents the Complete Piano Sonatas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in a cycle of six recitals performed by Artur Pizarro, at the Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara. / Hearing the entirety of Mozart's piano sonatas in concert is a rare opportunity. These works, written throughout almost the whole of the composer's life, do not form a homogeneous set, but a musical journey that traverses different creative phases, contexts and intentions. Heard as a cycle, they reveal themselves as a true portrait of Mozart's evolution as a composer for piano, between classical elegance, formal invention and a surprising expressive depth. / The complete presentation of these sonatas is infrequent at an international level, being a challenge undertaken only by a very small number of pianists, among whom names such as Alfred Brendel, Mitsuko Uchida or Daniel Barenboim stand out.
