The exhibition You, Me, Us [O, Hau, Ita; Tu, Eu, Nós], by Timorese visual artist Maria Madeira, focuses on the relationship between Timorese ancestral beliefs and Portuguese cultural discourse. Through 34 works of painting, drawing, collage and installation, Maria Madeira prompts reflection and dialogue around her personal experience as a Timorese woman who was a refugee in Portugal and a migrant in Australia, granddaughter of Timorese and Portuguese people. The exhibition aims to celebrate, raise awareness of and center the historical, cultural and personal connection that exists between “You, Me and Us”, that is, between Portugal and Timor-Leste. Tuesday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. collage drawing installation painting.
