This is Heaven, by photographer Bárbara Monteiro, is a photographic project developed over three years that explores the funerary universe as an integral part of everyday life. Through the observation of different spaces, practices and professionals linked to death, the photographs make visible what usually remains outside the field of representation. Between gestures, routines and sometimes ironic situations, the exhibition questions the social, moral and religious mechanisms that condition the visibility of death. The project was distinguished at the Sony World Photography Awards 2025 and at the Prémio Novos Talentos FNAC 2026.
