Pedro da Linha is an aggregator of bodies and rhythms. In his hands, kuduro, kizomba, afro-house, funk carioca, reggaetón and other global dance and electronic musics blend and mix with Portuguese ballroom and popular music, from vira to fado and cante. Those who listen to him are compelled to grind on the dance floor, to sway their hips at home. This decade, he helped shape crucial albums by Pedro Mafama, Ana Moura and EU.CLIDES, while working hard to find space for dance, celebration and happiness within sadness. The result of this search was anticipated by the singles “Para Quê”, with Lucy Val; “Dos Olhos Teus”, with ela li; and “Força”, which will be part of the album “Música Menor mas Feliz”, scheduled for release on 2 October, with Camané among the collaborators. Let's listen to this “Música Menor mas Feliz” live, on 23 October, at the Rés do Chão da Casa. For the first time in band format, Pedro da Linha will be accompanied by musicians Pedro Ferreira, on bass and electric guitar, and Zé Cruz, on viola, tambourine, percussion and trumpet. There are no seats, nor assigned seats, at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position facing the stage, it is advisable to arrive early. And be prepared to stand for an hour or two.
