The Espaço Santa Catarina brings together three distinct exhibitions by three artists from the contemporary scene in a joint presentation of visual art. Eloïse Grace Winter presents Stickmen, a series of illustrations with bilingual storytelling in a cartoon style where interpersonal experience, social commentary and themes such as grief, love and humour find translation through simple lines contrasted in vivid colours. With deep messages wrapped in the simplicity of its presentation, the artist-translator presents in this exhibition the Stickmen as a translation tool easily learned and used by anyone whom curiosity calls to experiment. Carvings/Sgnivrac is the new puzzle by artist Isma(el) Alexandre Dayves Bernardo. In honour of Isma(el)'s modus operandi this exhibition is born, a soup of artistic mediums that fit together to test, translate and highlight the feeling of discovery of engravings in everything we encounter the first time we come across something. Fatümata will present Memória Esquecida (Forgotten Memory), a series of works that explore dim memory, remembered memory and projected memory. Through oil painting, charcoal and acrylic paint, it aims to show a chronological line of a (possible) process or relationship we have with memory, or perhaps the relationship memory has with time. Is memory a photograph of time... or a portrayal, montage, construction and fusion of varied images, sensations, tightnesses and emotions that create what it is. Monday to Friday, from 2 PM to 8 PM. group exhibition illustration painting.
