Producer Everything is New, Lda Synopsis Maninho is back with a great ballad. On the same day, he announces a special concert at the Coliseu dos Recreios: two concerts in a single night, on December 10, 2027. Maninho releases today “Luz Acesa”, his new single, already available on all digital platforms. On the same day, Maninho also announces that on December 10, 2027 he will take the stage at the Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, for a special concert. Tickets are already available at the usual outlets. “Luz Acesa” is a plea not to let love go out after a separation. The door that closes, the house that was left empty, the Friday nights on the sofa. Two lovers separated like the sun and the moon. After the energy of “Frágil” and “Não Tá Fácil”, with Virgul, “Luz Acesa” is a ballad with tender writing and a chorus made to sing along in unison, with attention fully placed on the voice and Maninho's guitar in the foreground. The song has lyrics and music by Maninho, Gui Alface, Ary Rafeiro, Gonçalo Malafaya, Afonso Dubraz, Marcus Costa, Daus and Fumaxa. The production is by Maninho and his usual studio companions, Daus and Fumaxa. Maninho signs the guitar and Marcus Costa the keyboards. The mixing and mastering are by André Tavares. The music video for “Luz Acesa”, directed by Gonçalo Carvoeiras, is already available on Maninho's YouTube channel. It takes place in an old theatre marked by time. On stage, a couple of contemporary dance dancers give body to the story of the song: the approach, the confrontation, the separation and the attempt to reunite. Maninho sings alone, a spectator of his own story. In the end, a single light remains on. At the Coliseu dos Recreios, Maninho prepares a night different from all the ones he has done: two concerts in the same hall, on the same day. In the first part, Maninho presents all the hits of his career, from “Pode Tentar” to the most recent songs, “Luz Acesa” included. In the second, he premieres the Maninho's Roda de Samba, with several guest vocalists and some of his greatest hits reinvented in samba. Maninho's Roda de Samba is born on purpose for this night. It brings together three musicians who usually accompany Maninho with three musicians with long experience in samba circles. It is a return to the Brazilian roots of an artist who made Portugal his home and who, here, became one of the biggest names in national music.
Since 2021, Maninho's career speaks for itself. He accumulates hits such as “Pode Tentar”, “Até ao Fim”, “Garota” with Marisa Liz, “Vem pra Cá”, “Tudo ou Nada” and “Lembra Você”. As a composer, he has written for Mariza, Nuno Ribeiro, Bárbara Bandeira, Matias Damásio, Nininho Vaz Maia and D.A.M.A, among others. At the end of 2025 he became the first national artist to sign as an author with Warner Chappell. In 2026 he performed at Rock in Rio Lisboa and at more than 40 stages from north to south of the country. First, the ballad. Then, the party. “Luz Acesa” is already available, and the Coliseu dos Recreios is booked for December 10, 2027. Two concerts in a single night, to keep the light on until the end.
