Sea Monsters

Sunday 25 October – Sunday 1 November

Oceanário de Lisboa, Lisbon

The Oceanário de Lisboa invites visitors to dive into a remote past with Sea Monsters, a temporary exhibition installed in the main atrium of the Oceanarium. The show presents impressive life-size models of some of the most fascinating predators that inhabited the oceans throughout the history of the Earth. The result of a partnership with Dino Parque Lourinhã, a reference institution in the field of paleontology and scientific outreach, the exhibition spans more than 400 million years of the evolution of marine life. Among gigantic creatures, surprising forms and extraordinary adaptations, visitors are invited to discover species that dominated the seas long before the appearance of human beings. Combining scientific rigor and visual impact, Sea Monsters offers an immersive experience that allows a better understanding of the diversity of prehistoric life and the transformations of marine ecosystems over time. Designed for audiences of all ages, the exhibition combines knowledge and discovery, awakening curiosity about a universe as fascinating as it is mysterious. The visit is included in the entrance ticket to the Oceanário de Lisboa. Children, families, young people.
